MAN ON THE STREET: Fourth of July

When one thinks of the Fourth of July, images of parades, fireworks, barbecues, American Flags and of course the Declaration of Independence automatically come to mind. The East County Observer caught up with some local residents and employees to see what they have planned for this weekend’s holiday.

What’re you doing for the Fourth of July?

“I’m different than most people. My husband and I are going to be staying home with all of (our) animals to care for them and make sure they aren’t alarmed by any of the fireworks.”

What’re you doing for the Fourth of July?

“I’m going to spend time with my family just hanging out and having fun. My grandpa is really sick, so I’m going to be with him most of the time.”

What’re you doing for the Fourth of July?

“I don’t have any plans. I’m just going to be staying home here in Palm-Aire.”

“I’m probably going to go to Siesta Key, walk around the beach and see any of the festivities going on down there.”

“I’m going down to the marina in Sarasota, and I might go out on a boat with some friends.”
