Do you have a special tradition for Easter or Passover?

“We're visitors from Canada but we always have hot-cross buns wherever we are. For many years I made them and we always had them on Good Friday. When we are on Longboat, I get them from the Publix bakery and we have them on Easter Sunday. They are so good!”

“We traditionally have a family gathering in our home town of Traverse, Mich. We are leaving this week for Michigan, and we are looking forward to seeing our grandsons as well as enjoying a wonderful Easter dinner.”

“We really don’t do too much for Easter. We used to do more and I really miss the chocolate bunnies. My waistline and I decided no more goodies.”

“We’re having a traditional family Passover dinner but it will be on April 3 instead of the traditional date.
My daughter Jill, who works in Croatia, and my daughter Eve, from Utah, will be coming with their families. There’ll be cousins and in-laws. It’s a lot of work but I am getting some help. Unfortunately, they will be here for just a few days. I was hoping they could stay longer.”

“We’d rather stay here but we have a family gathering on Easter so we’ll be returning to Long Island, N.Y., to get together. It will be my special rack of lamb and we’ll be at our house. I’m still thinking about dessert.”

“Our family has been coming to Longboat Key every Easter for 22 years. Dinner is always ham with trimmings, and the dining table has lots of flowers and candy eggs. But what's really special is the bunny cake. It’s a yellow cake with icing and jelly beans baked in a bunny-shaped pan. It just wouldn’t be Easter without it.”
