A homeless man swung at Sarasota Police officers trying to arrest him for shoving a security guard at a downtown bus station after 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3.

A security guard at the Sarasota County Area Transit bus transfer station told officers Leopold Lake, 41, asked him for a bus pass after causing a disturbance at City Hall. Lake began yelling and pushed the guard after he said he didn’t have a pass, according to a news release.

Officers arrested Lake and transported him to the Sarasota County Jail.
