Main Street streetscape improvements continue

Demolition will continue on Main Street this week as part of a streetscape improvement project.

The removal of landscaping, sidewalks and curbs will continue on Main Street from Gulf Stream Boulevard to Palm Avenue, according to a city press release.

Demolition is also scheduled to begin at Main Street and Goodrich Avenue following the instillation of barricades.

The release stated that periodic short lane closures should be expected as trucks access the construction areas.

Construction will continue through next week.

Beginning July 22, Silva cells will be installed for better tree growth between Gulf Stream Boulevard and Palm Avenue, along with lighting infrastructure and an irrigation system to the landscape area. A storm water structure will be constructed at Goodrich Avenue.
