+ Love letter makes comeback
East County resident Kelly Pleasant was running along Lakewood Ranch Boulevard last week when she came across something special — a love letter dated May 14, 1992.

“It appears that someone kept it all these 22 years,” Pleasant says. “Maybe it flew out of a purse or something? I keep almost all the notes and cards (my husband) Tim and (my) kids give me, so I just thought someone might really want this note back.”

The letter reads: “Roses are red. Violets are blue. If I had any money, I got a card for you. But since I don’t, I guess it is best just to say how much I love you. Happy Anniversary, Tom.”

The letter’s owner can call Tim Pleasant at 321-4966 to retrieve it.
