Longboaters honored at Tree of Life event

The Jewish National Fund hosted the Tree of Life Award Dinner March 10, at Michael’s On East. It was a big night for Longboat Key. Rabbi Jonathan R. Katz made the invocation. Longboat Key Fire Rescue Lt. Rocky Parker was honored for his service to Firefighters for Israel Emergency Volunteer Project. Longboaters Marty and Paulette Samowitz were given the Lifetime Achievement Award for their philanthropy to more than 50 organizations. And Key residents Len and Helen Glaser were given the Tree of Life Award.
