While the Longboat Key Historical Society was holding its meeting Thursday, Feb. 25, at Whitney Beach Deli & Wines, another group was celebrating an important day in their family history. Anna Hlywa, mother of Whitney Beach Deli & Wines owner Andrew Hlywa, celebrated her 90th birthday. She received a red ribbon from family members and friends to celebrate the occasion.
