Now that the felines seized from Napiers Log Cabin Horse and Animal Sanctuary Feb. 5 are available for adoption, the animals are being introduced to the public to find new homes.

Among the 33 cats featured at the March 15 "Caturday Night Fever" gala, an event to showcase and draw awareness to Cat Depot and its adoptable cats, was a black cat named Lois Lane. She was named in honor of Observer Media Group, a sponsor of the event.

As a "thank you," event sponsors had animals named after them.

She was among the first of the animals to find new homes last week.

Other cats at the shelter are still in need of homes, however, and can be adopted for a reduced fee of $50 through April.
