Life in the Son holding services on Siesta Key

A new non-denominational church has begun holding weekly services in an office on Siesta Key.
Called Life in the Son, the church is holding its services at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Amazing Life Chiropractic, 5039 Ocean Blvd.

“Everyone is welcome, regardless of where they are in their journey of faith,” says a flyer being distributed by the Rev. Michael Broy.

Those coming to services can expect “a Christ-centered atmosphere of grace and healing; relevant practical teachings from the Bible; contemporary, celebrative praise and intimate worship; a place where structure surrenders to Spirit; and (a place) where creativity and the arts are expressions of worship,” the flyer adds.

Broy told the Pelican Press he has many years of ministerial experience, ranging from youth and children’s programs to music to helping found a church in Clemson, S.C. He is a graduate of the Rhema Bible training center in Broken Arrow, Okla.

“I am not associated with a denomination,” he said, “but I am associated with a ministerial group called United New Testament Church International.”
