Rescue seeks donations for treatment of 'broken puppy'

A “broken puppy” is on the mend at Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue.

On Oct. 16, Manatee County Animal Services asked the rescue to take in a 4-month-old dog its workers called Broken Puppy. She had sustained serious trauma, resulting in shattered hips and other injuries that left her unable to stand.

Nate's is seeking donations to pay for her medical care. Last year, the organization funded such expenses through the Community Foundation of Sarasota's Giving Challenge, which is not being held this year.
