Lady Mustangs advance to regional final

The Lakewood Ranch High volleyball team continued its historic run with a 3-0 victory over Seminole Osceola Nov. 8 in a Class 6A-Region 3 semifinal.

The Lady Mustangs edged past the Lady Warriors 25-21, 25-21, 25-23. Shelby Walker finished with 10 kills and eight blocks and Mariah Robertson added a team-high 15 kills, nine digs and two aces to lead the way for Lakewood. Hannah Christianson had 17 digs and Ali Milbourn finished with 37 assists and two aces. Ashlyn Falahee had 10 kills, one block and two aces and Quillan Toler added five kills and two aces.

Lakewood returns to action at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 when the team travels to Tarpon Springs for the Class 6A-Region 3 final.
