The Lakewood Ranch High girls soccer team defeated Plant City 1-0 in the Class 4A-Region 3 finals Jan. 29.
Forward Angelica Rego scored the lone goal of the match off a cross from defender Tatum Young in the 36th minute.
With the win, the regional champion Lady Mustangs will advance to the Final 4 Feb. 1 to face Melbourne, a 4-0 winner over Miami Springs.
