Kiwanis hosts educational lunch

The Lakewood Ranch Kiwanis Club is hosting an educational leadership luncheon Saturday May 11 that features local government representatives and leaders in education.

The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m., with the lunch meeting lasting from noon to 1 p.m.

Speakers will include Florida Sen. Nancy Detert, Florida Sen. Bill Galvano; Dr. Carol Probstfield of State College of Florida; Bonnie Jones of the University of South Florida, Manatee-Sarasota; and Manatee County Schools Superintendent Rick Mills.

Cost is $35 per ticket.
