When Nik Wallenda crossed over the Grand Canyon, one of the first things he said was "prime rib." Café L’Europe owner Betsie Coolidge joined millions watching the victorious crossing and heard his request for a prime rib dinner, so she knew she had to invite him and his family for a victory celebration at her restaurant, on St. Armands Circle.

It was a family affair as Wallenda, his wife, Erendira, their three children, his parents and a group of friends gathered at Café L’Europe for a prime rib dinner. In honor of his accomplishment, the bartenders also created a special nonalcoholic celebratory concoction named “Balance” for the skywire walker’s new book.

The restaurant offers a slow roasted prime rib dinner every Tuesday night through the summer. Call 941-388-4415 for reservations.
