Kids camps heat up the Key this summer

Cedars Tennis Resort
The camp includes a mix of match play, drill work and strategy sessions.

Ages: 8 to 18
When: June 9 through June 13, and June 23 through June 28; 9 to 11 a.m. for ages 8 to 12; 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 13 to 18.
Cost: Ages 8 to 12: $125 per week; ages 13 to 18: $155 per week

Sarasota Yacht Club

Campers ages 5 to 7 spend their mornings swimming, fishing and making crafts before exploring local waters by sailboat in the afternoon. Older kids, ages 8 to 16, will learn to sail on their own during morning sessions. Afternoon activities include trips to the beach, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and cooking.

Ages: 5 to 16
When: Two-week sessions are June 9 through June 20, July 7 through July 18, and July 21 through Aug. 1; one-week sessions are June 23 through June 27, and Aug. 4 through Aug. 8
Cost: $550 for ages 5 to 7; $600 for ages 8 to 16for two-week sessions. One-week sessions are half-price.

Junior Tennis Camp — Kids hone tennis fundamentals with Key Club pros.
Ages: 8 to 17
When: June 2 through Aug. 15; full days are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; half-days are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $245 to $247 for half-day sessions; $500 to $540 for full-day sessions

Kids Summer Sports Camp— Children play tennis, golf, soccer, baseball and more.
Ages: 6 to 12; Pee Wee Camp half-day sessions are for ages 4 to 5.
When: June 2 through Aug. 15
Cost: $180 to $200 for half-days; $330 to $360 for full days

Camp Loggerhead — Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, educational excursions and more.
Ages: 5 to 12
When: June 16 through June 20, July 14 through July 18, and Aug. 4 through Aug 8
Cost: Morning session, $35; afternoon session, $25; full-day session, $60

Sarasota Sailing Squadron
The Summer Sailing Program teaches the joy of sailing, essential elements of boat handling, seamanship, water-safety skills and racing.

Ages: 5 and up
When: Two-week, half-day sessions are from June 9 through Aug. 4; one-week, full-day sessions are from June 9 through Aug. 11
