Jasmine Rosales, 13, represented the Eastern United States at the Junior Olympics National Finals July 23 through July 26 and took second place in the track-and-field event, earning a silver medal.
Rosales competed in the 50-meter dash and long jump at the finals, held at the Olympic Training Center, in Chula Vista, Calif.
