Junior Midgets post pair of shutouts

The East Manatee Bulldogs Junior Midget team opened its season with a pair of shutout victories at the Jamboree Aug. 18 at G.T. Bray West.

The Midgets defeated the Hardee Wildcats 18-0. Keyon Fordham scored on touchdown runs of 70 and 20 yards to lead the way offensively. Jernard Porter Jr. added an 18-yard touchdown run.

In the second game, the Midgets defeated the Manatee Wildcats 12-0. Noah Ben-ghuzzi scored from two yards out and Fordham returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.
