by: Mallory Gnaegy A&E Editor

Sarasota Orchestra President and CEO Joseph McKenna graced the audience of the Youth Orchestra Showcase Program on April 27, at Riverview High School, with the musical styling of the kazoo. He and his colleagues RoseAnne McCabe and Alyson Rozier proved that learning music can be fun.

There are 247 students involved in Sarasota Orchestra’s Youth Orchestra Program, and they performed this concert as one of three all season. They are coached by members of the Sarasota Orchestra and participate in weekly rehearsals.
