John Ringling Estates home sells for $3.5 million

A home in John Ringling Estates tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Sarasota Vacation Property LLC sold the home at 290 N. Washington Drive to Frank Shumate, of Corpus Christi, Texas, for $3.5 million. Built in 2008, it has five bedrooms, four-and-two-half baths, a pool and 6,799 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $7,494,500 in 2011.

The Beach Residences

Kevin and Kathleen Golmont, of Martinsville, N.J., sold their Unit 603 condominium at 1300 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Henry and Dawn Duques, of Sarasota, for $3.3 million. Built in 2005, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,861 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.6 million in 2005. 

Lido

Dave and Merrill Jean Marshall, of Dallas, sold their home at 175 Morningside Drive to Jonathan Cook and Diane Aigler, of Duxbury, Mass., for $2,075,000. Built in 1955, it has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,563 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,475,000 in 2012.

Anthony Grasso and John Garisto sold their home at 1116 Westway Drive to DeLieto Shores LLC for $800,000. Built in 1952, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,516 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $120,000 in 1987.

Bird Key

Dale Asplund and Michele Ulrich-Asplund, of Sarasota, sold their home at 534 Bird Key Drive to Mark Nowak and Saul Cohen, trustees, of Boston, for $1,262,500. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,793 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $925,000 in 2012.

Daniel McGovern and Teresa Peck-McGovern, trustees, of Sarasota, sold the home at 443 Bird Key Drive to David Cohen and Mark Nowak, trustees, of Boston, for $1,225,000. Built in 1966, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,676 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $849,900 in 2015.

John Clark sold his home at 343 Bobwhite Way to Kalia FL LLC for $775,000. Built in 1973, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 2,638 square feet of living area.

John Ringling Estates 

Leslie Peters, trustee, and Robin Peters, of Eastover, N.C., sold the home at 551 S. Polk Drive to Eric Hartmann, of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., for $1.26 million. Built in 1979, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,565 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 1990.

Sleepy Lagoon Park

Istvan and Ilona Milom, of Seminole, sold their home at 536 Lyons Lane to Peggy Christy, of Tampa, for $661,000. Built in 1989, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,965 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $455,000 in 2011.

The Presidential

Joseph Perillo, of Wallkill, N.Y., Deana Perillo and Sabrina Perillo Wells, of Fishkill, N.Y., sold their Unit 407 condominium at 845 Benjamin Franklin Drive to William and Elaine Haehl, of Shelbyville, Ind., for $365,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 991 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $105,000 in 1990.

Spanish Main Yacht Club

Chester and Linda Pletzke, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 14 condominium at 613 Spanish Drive N. to Michael Walsh and Karen Cop, of Biltmore Lake, N.C., for $297,500. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,089 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $137,000 in 2000.

Second Longboat Harbour

Elaine Rusinowitz, of Sarasota, sold her Unit 307 condominium at 4400 Exeter Drive to Aret and Leda Oymakas, of Ontario, Canada, for $296,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,152 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $120,000 in 1995.
