The 2011 Jewels on the Bay Designer Showhouse will be opening its doors Sunday, Jan. 23, at the restored Crosley Carriage House. This is the 16th year for the event, and it continues to not only show off the talents of area designers and interior decorators, but also helps to raise funds, awareness and support for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The newly restored carriage house was originally built in 1929 and is believed to have provided housing for Powell Crosley’s boat captain, pilot, chauffeur and maids.

The Crosley Carriage House will be open to the public from Jan. 23 to Feb. 20. To learn more about Jewels on the Bay, visit www.DesignerShowhouseSarasota.com.
