Home in Siesta Properties sells for $8.85 million

The following residential real estate transactions took place between July 28 and Aug. 1.

A home in Siesta Properties tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. David and Nancy Freund sold their home at 8250 Sanderling Road to Michael Brown, trustee, of Sarasota, for $8.85 million. Built in 2000, it has five bedrooms, five baths, a pool and 7,756 square feet of living area.

SARASOTA
Harbor Acres
Jeffrey and Leigh Kints, of Ontario, Canada, sold their home at 1540 Hillview Drive to Ryan Gilbertson, of Wayzata, Minn., for $4.5 million. Built in 2000, it has five bedrooms, six baths, one half-bath, a pool and 7,074 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3,776,200 in 2013.

The Residences
Edward Bongart, trustee, of Mecklenburg, N.C., sold the Unit 1504 condominium at 1111 Ritz-Carlton Drive to Jacqueline Lewis, trustee, of Sarasota, for $2 million. Built in 2001, it has two bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 3,575 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,735,000 in 2001.

Laurel Street
James Uihlein, of Milwaukee, sold two properties at 1871 Laurel St. to Malcolm Stevenson, of Sarasota, for $850,000. The first, built in 2006, has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,430 square feet of living area. The second, built in 2006, has one bedroom, one bath and 484 square feet of living area. They previously sold for $1.7 million in 2006.

Burns Court Villas
Judith Gaunt, of Bradenton, sold her Unit 8 condominium at 1551 Oak St. to Clifford and Nancy Pinder, of Sarasota, for $835,000. Built in 2007, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 2,124 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $803,000 in 2008.

Condominium on the Bay
Ivo and Magdalena Pogonowski, trustees, sold the Unit 314 condominium at 988 Blvd. of the Arts to Paul and Veronica Simon, of Sarasota, for $700,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,729 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $265,000 in 1999.

Jeffrey Burzinski sold the Unit 1207 condominium at 888 Blvd. of the Arts to Els Vermaas, of Sarasota, for $520,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,288 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $445,000 in 2013.

The Landings
Gerald Luhman II and Loretta Fitzgibbons Luhman sold their home at 5155 Flicker Field Circle to Carrie and John Patti, of Sarasota, for $595,000. Built in 1987, it has four bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath, a pool and 2,687 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $422,500 in 2012.

Riverview Manor
David Cumming and George Krieger, of Asheville, N.C., sold their home at 2521 Waterview Court to Joseph Koolipurackal and Ruth Houser, of Sarasota, for $425,000. Built in 1993, it has four bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath, a pool and 2,535 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $575,000 in 2005.

Desota Park
Paul Van Helden, of Sarasota, sold his home at 1938 Hibiscus St. to Classic Homes Clayton Inc. for $375,000. Built in 1948, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,670 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $215,000 in 1999.

Cityscape at Courthouse Centre
Stephen Ellis sold his Unit 7 condominium at 1990 Main St. to Michael O’Rourke, of Marbella, Spain, for $350,000. Built in 2005, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,269 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $650,000 in 2005.

SIESTA
Hidden Harbor
James Riley Jr. and Jonathan Riley, trustees, of Mendota Heights, Minn., sold the home at 5309 Hidden Harbor Road to James and Heather Riley, of Sarasota, for $3.3 million. Built in 2007, it has six bedrooms, five baths, two half-baths, a pool and 6,655 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3.35 million in April.

Casarina
Rinaldo and Ellen DiSalvo, trustees, of Kettering, Ohio, sold the Unit 808 condominium at 5880 Midnight Pass Road to Debra Millat, of Kettering, Ohio, for $860,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,562 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $675,000 in 2002.

Siesta Isles
Andrew and Jayne Appleyard sold Lot 277, Siesta Isles, Unit 8 to Robert and Trisha Koczent, of Geneva, N.Y., for $775,000. Built in 1969, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,879 square feet of living area.

James Langbert, of Sarasota, sold his home at 817 Idlewild Way to Charles and Susan Byrne, of St. Paul, Minn., for $770,000. Built in 1961, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,544 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $999,900 in 2005.

Sarasota Beach
Heather Blank, of Sarasota, sold the home at 306 Island Circle to Christopher and Reyna Quinn, of Wellesley, Mass., for $750,000. Built in 1952, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,392 square feet of living area.

Horizons West
Sandra Walter, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 307 condominium at 6140 Midnight Pass Road to Jacob and Alexandra Kron, of Atlanta, for $695,000. Built in 1967, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,296 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $265,000 in 1995.

Turtle Bay
Susan Keck, trustee, of Webster, N.Y., sold the Unit 602-A condominium at 8701 Midnight Pass Road to Roger Beaudry and Marilyn Beaudry, trustees, of Sarasota, for $605,000. Built in 1980, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,925 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $205,700 in 1981.

Haleakala House of the Sun
The Wensel Family Ltd. Partnership sold the Unit 206 condominium at 6518 Midnight Pass Road to Denise Walsh, trustee, of Holland, Ohio, for $585,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,215 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $385,000 in 2011.

Harbour Towne
Walker and Helga Clark, of Ontario, Canada, sold their Unit 116 condominium at 1273 Dockside Place to Shawn and Sonya Johnson, of N. Port, for $500,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,217 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $565,000 in 2005.

John and Marilee Greene, of Nokomis, sold their Unit 102 condominium at 6206 Midnight Pass Road to Kerri Antles, of Hoboken, N.J., for $460,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,170 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $182,000 in 1992.

Point O’Rocks Terrace
L&S Real Estate Holdings 2 LLC, L&S Real Estate Holdings and Gary and Stacey Howle, of Nokomis, sold the home at 1132 Crescent St. to Adrian and Teri Moore, of Sarasota, for $450,000. Built in 1956, it has one bedroom, two baths and 1,174 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $194,000 in 2011.

Beach Way Apartments
Paul and Patricia Douglas, of Saginaw, Mich., sold their Unit H-2 condominium at 5600 Beach Way Drive to Freeman and Tina Helmuth, of Topeka, Ind., for $422,500. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,182 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $242,300 in 2000.

Jayanta Banerjee and Sheila Gleason, of Newport, R.I., sold their Unit C-122 condominium at 1169 Lake House Circle to William Bondy and Erika Bondy, trustees, of Rolling Meadows, Ill., for $420,000. Eric and Jodi Dalton, of Morgantown, W.Va., sold their home at 7804 Andora Drive to Bruce and Sonya Caughran, of Huntersville, N.C., for $260,000. Built in 2004, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,846 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $229,000 in 2011.

Amos and Catherine Gates, of Sarasota, sold their home at 7556 Andora Drive to Amy McConnell, of Sarasota, for $240,000. Built in 2004, it has three bedrooms, two baths, one half-bath and 1,672 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $211,000 in 2012.

Federal National Mortgage Association sold the home at 5843 Benevento Drive to Balazs Szabo, of Sarasota, for $250,000. Built in 2006, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,008 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $498,400 in 2006.

Sydney Norris-Wiencek, trustee, of Sarasota, sold the home at 4118 Entrada Court to Theodore and Delores Borek, of Sarasota, for $250,000. Built in 1993, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,563 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $250,000 in 2004.

Harvey Levin, trustee, sold the home at 380 Bunker Hill to George and Areta Baranowskyj, of Osprey, for $820,000. Built in 1995, it has four bedrooms, three baths, one half-bath, a pool and 4,901 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $635,000 in 2000.

William and Francine Crowley, of Sarasota, sold their home at 507 S. Casey Key Road to Joseph and Betty Taylor, of Loudonville, N.Y., for $967,500. Built in 1983, it has two bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,456 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $362,000 in 1994.

Sorrento East
Thomas Kirkpatrick and Lynn Lemahieu, of Hortonville, Wis., sold their home at 304 E. Matisse Circle to Timothy and Melissa Reifschneider, of Nokomis, for $210,000. Built in 1978, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,609 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $89,500 in 1988.
