Higher cost projected for gate repairs

At its regular meetings Thursday, Lakewood Ranch Community Development Districts 2 and 5 will vote whether to approve a $7,500 cost increase for repairs to the Legacy Boulevard gatehouse. 

CDDs 2 and 5 originally agreed to a $36,000 contract with Prism Contractors Inc. for repairs to the gatehouse — which is the main entrance and exit into Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.

Repairs began April 14.

But staff is recommending a change order to the contract that reflects extra water damage found by Prism during the repair process.

Lakewood Ranch CDD meetings begin at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 15 at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall.
