High five moments of the week

1 - On Dec. 18, former Braden River High pitcher Courtney Mirabella became the first player in school history to have her jersey retired.

2 - The Manatee Admirals hockey team improved to 13-1 with a 10-4 victory over Steinbrenner Dec. 21.

3 - Hunter Reed, Tim Dwyer and Jared Dipsiner went undefeated to help lead Lakewood Ranch to a second-place finish at the fourth annual Kiwanis Classic Mustang Duals Jan. 4.

4 - Zach Kendall scored 18 points to lead the Braden River High basketball team to a 55-41 victory over Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High in the Suncoast Holiday Classic Dec. 26.

5 - The Nolan Middle School girls soccer team closed out the fall season with its third-consecutive championship.
