1 — Braden River High senior Kayla Gray captained the Under-20 Jamaican Women’s team to a berth in the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s U20 Tournament.

2 — The 9U River Dawgs went undefeated to win the Suncoast Travel Ball Swing for the Cure Tournament Oct. 25 through Oct. 27.

3 — The Cardinal Mooney High football team improved to 6-1 with a 43-33 homecoming victory over Victory Christian Academy Oct. 25.

4 — The Out-of-Door Academy’s Joe Plechy won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.70 seconds at the Class 1A-District 8 meet Oct. 26 in St. Petersburg.

5 — The Lakewood Ranch, The Out-of-Door Academy and Cardinal Mooney volleyball teams all earned berths in this year’s regional tournament.
