Heritage Harbour woman attacked in home invasion

Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a suspect who knocked a Heritage Harbour woman unconscious after breaking into her home.

According to sheriff's office reports, ar about 3 p.m., July 14, a masked man dressed in all black entered a house on the 300 block of Fairway Isles Lane. The woman thought it was her son coming into the house, but when she turned toward the front door, she saw the suspect. The suspect then sprayed the woman in the face with an unknown minty substance then struck her in the face with a blunt object, the report states.

The suspect then dragged her into the office and yelled, "Tell me where it's at. Where's his technology?"

The woman told the suspect she didn't know what he was talking about, and the subject threatened to break both of her legs. She told him again she did not know what he was talking about, and the suspect hit her in the head, knocking her unconcious.

The woman woke about one to one-and-one-half hours later and called 911. Nothing was missing from the home.

The suspect is described as 6-foot-1 thin male. He was drssed in all black — shirts, pants, gloves, shoes and a mask.
