A longstanding issue in Heritage Harbour South, speeding is again being addressed by the community's supervisors.

At its last meeting Oct. 6, the Community Development District board approved for the off-duty deputies it has stationed in the community twice a week, to move forces over to a problem area for speeding: Fairway Isles Lane.

But have drivers slowed down over the last month of close speed monitoring?

At its meet at 4 p.m. today, the CDD will receive a report from District Engineer Rick Schappacher on whether speeders have slowed down on that road.

Tonight's meeting is being held at the Stoneybrook Recreation Center, 200 Golden Harbour Trail, Bradenton, rather than the Stoneybrook Golf Club.
