It’s time to get those tails wagging.

The Racing Dog Rescue Project will hold its 16th Annual Greyhound Picnic Fundraiser Saturday at Sun-N-Fun Resort, 7125 Fruitville Road, Sarasota

The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include festivities such as a silent auction, raffle, holiday merchandise and a cookout. There also will be silly greyhound contests such as “best kisser” and “longest tail.”

Admission is free, but pets other than greyhounds are asked to stay home.

The event is one of several to help raise money to continue to build and operate the rescue’s new adoption center at Verna Road.
