GreyHawk Landing residents Steve and Cheri Ziegler are $34 million richer.

The Zieglers were the winners of the Florida Lottery's $61.5 million Powerball jackpot. The Zieglers purchased their ticket from the Lakewood Ranch Hess station at 11002 S.R. 64 E. The winning numbers were 14-26-37-41-46, and the Powerball was 24.

The Ziegler Family Revocable Trust claimed the prize and will receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $34,553,793.03, the Florida Lottery reported today.

"We still cannot believe that we've won," Steve Ziegler said. "I saw on the first line of numbers that we had matched three numbers, then four, then five, and I wondered how much that would pay. Then I saw we also matched the Powerball, at which point my wife said I went pale."

At first, the Zieglers believed they had won a $20 million jackpot.

"It wasn't until about two hours later when we were sharing the news with a family member who corrected us and said that we were the sole winners of a $61.5 million jackpot," he said.

The Hess station will receive a $40,000 incentive for selling the ticket. Cheri Ziegler said the family always bought its lottery tickets from the same location, which recently began selling lunch items.

"Between that, selling gas, and lottery tickets, the store's parking lot is always packed," she said. "I told my husband, 'That place is a gold mine,' and days later, we bought the jackpot-winning Powerball ticket there."

The next Powerball drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 20, with a $46 million jackpot.
