Gold-buying event aids pet rescue

Locally owned and operated A Gem Quest Jewelers will host a gold/silver/platinum buying event this Thursday to benefit Honor Sanctuary Animal Rescue.

Anyone who has jewelry, coins, silver flatware or other items may bring their items in from 6-9 p.m., Dec. 3, to Northern Trust Community Room, 6320 Venture Drive, Lakewood Ranch.

Those brining items will be told what their items are worth and made an offer of cash for them. A Gem Quest Jewelers will donate back 10% of what it purchases to Honor Sanctuary.
