Free sand sculpting lessons start tomorrow

The first of six free sand sculpting lessons scheduled by organizers of the Siesta Key Crystal Classic Sand Sculpting competition begin tomorrow on Siesta Key beach.

Local sand sculptor duo Libby Bennett and Lara Hines will lead two 45-minute, hands-on sessions starting at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The lessons are limited to 10 people and filled on a first come-first served basis.

The Crystal Classic starts Nov. 8 and runs through Nov. 12, and includes an amateur competition Nov. 10. To find out more about the event visit thecrystalclassic.org.
