Four-bedroom Bird Key home sells for $4 million

The following residential real estate transactions took place between June 23 and June 27.

A home on Bird Key tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. James Courter and Mark Hodgson, of University Park, sold their home at 647 Mourning Dove Drive to Mark Lucas and Aimee Sottialro, of Sarasota, for $4 million. Built in 2004, it has four bedrooms, five baths, two half-baths, a pool and 4,854 square feet of living area.

The Water Club
Robert and Lynne Kanter, of Hamilton, Ohio, sold their Unit PH1104 condominium to Lucie Lapovsky and David Lapovsky, trustees, of Longboat Key, for $1.6 million. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 3,054 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,364,900 in 1999.

Longboat Cove
Frances Neher, of Port Townsend, Wash., sold her Unit 206 condominium at 5481 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Lora Lyons, trustee, of Dayton, Ohio, for $915,000. Built in 1980, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,721 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $330,000 in 1984.

The Players Club
Aubert and Sandra Coran, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 106 condominium at 1465 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Gulf Players LLC for $600,000. Built in 1981, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,815 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $300,000 in 1996.

Harbour Links at Longboat Key Club
Bernhardt Trout II, trustee, of Lexington, Mass., sold the Unit 2043 condominium at 2043 Harbourside Drive to David and Sandra Campbell, of Charleston, W.Va., for $425,000. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,398 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $366,500 in 1999.

Sleepy Lagoon Park
Norton Street LLC sold the home at 613 Norton St. to Hugh and Lynn McCann, of Blandford, Mass., for $365,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,170 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $175,000 in 1997.

Windward Bay
Ann and William Race, of Northbrook, Ill., sold their Unit 203 condominium at 4600 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Svetlana Shtrom, of Chuluota, for $308,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,096 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $188,000 in 2000.

Raymond and Betsy Kotcher, of Manhasset, N.Y., sold their Unit PH-4 condominium at 4800 Gulf of Mexico Drive to John and Kathleen Wurdeman, of Charles City, Va., for $300,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,096 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $300,000 in 2009.

First Longboat Harbour
Marianne Baeckstrom, Christer Baeckstrom and Monica Toomey, trustees, of Randolph, N.J., sold the Unit 206 condominium at 4310 Falmouth Drive to Dean and Janet Snow, of State College, Pa., for $280,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 928 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $90,000 in 1986.

LIDO KEY
Orchid Beach Club Residences

Maria Longhi, of Tampa, sold the Unit C1001 condominium at 2052 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Ronald and Patricia Taylor, of Burr Ridge, Ill., for $3.9 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 4,229 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.4 million in 2009.

Ronald and Patricia Taylor, of Burr Ridge, Ill., sold their Unit 1002D condominium at 2052 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Barbara Maibach, trustee, of Farmington, Mich., for $3.1 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,654 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.75 million in 2007.

ST. ARMANDS
John Ringling Estates

Edward and Janette Lange, of Sarasota, sold their home at 51 S. Adams Drive to Leonard and Lana Owens, of Swampscott, Mass., for $630,000. Built in 1958, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,315 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $575,000 in 2007.
