Four-bedroom Bay Island home sells for $2.95 million

The following residential real estate transactions took place between May 7 and May 11. A home in Bay Island tops all transactions in this week’s real estate. Daniel and Janet Fangmeyer, of Waynesville, N.C., sold their home at 931 Norsota Way to Robert and Sarah Stern, Orlando, for $2.95 million. Built in 1988, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 6,155 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2,512,500 in 2001.

South Cocoanut Bayou
James Rutledge, trustee, and Deborah Rutledge, Sarasota, sold the home at 711 Mangrove Point Road to James and Deborah Herzoff, Sarasota, for $2.85 million. Built in 2004, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 5,752 square feet of living area.

Point Crisp
Timothy Lamb, Sarasota, sold his home at 1356 Point Crisp Road to 3065468 Nova Scotia Ltd. for $2.5 million. Built in 2005, it has five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a pool and 7,047 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3 million in 2009.

Prince’s Gate
Peter and Bonnie Janak, of Metamore, Mich., sold their home at 1294 Whitehall Place to Al Besse and Scott Evers, Sarasota, for $1.5 million. Built in 1975, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,811 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.7 million in 2007.

Siesta Dunes Beach
Elaine and Thomas Pons, Sarasota, sold their Unit 104 condominium at 6208 Midnight Pass Road to Denton Groves Inc. for $725,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,150 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $84,000 in 1979.

Terrace East
Andrew Cooper, Sarasota, sold his Unit PH-4 condominium at 5300 Ocean Blvd. to Jeffrey Gwinnell and Margaret Benham, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, for $640,000. Built in 1973, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,446 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.83 million in 2005.

Gulf and Bay Club
Patricia Glasser, of Brooklyn, N.Y., sold her Unit 608 condominium at 5760 Midnight Pass Road to Martin and Patricia Fleming, of Riverside, Conn., for $600,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,361 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $525,000 in 2000.

Sarasota Beach
Denise Hetrick, of Irvine, Calif., sold her home at 5325 Calle Florida to Dina Holstead, Sarasota, for $540,000. Built in 1976, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,548 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $177,500 in 2010.

Coquille
Anna McCann, Sarasota, sold her Unit 108 condominium at 1139 Coquille St. to Jeffrey and Susan Russell, of Fort Thomas, Ky., for $445,000. Built in 1983, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,455 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $542,500 in 2009.

Peppertree Bay
L. Jane Mitakides, of Dayton, Ohio, sold her Unit 114 condominium at 6051 E. Peppertree Way to M&M Peppertree Way LLC for $375,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 975 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $522,000 in 2005.

Island Reef
Walter Danko, of Romeoville, Ill., sold his Unit 402-H condominium at 8779 Midnight Pass Road to Gerald Lewis and Yvonne Johnson, of Sautee, Ga., for $317,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,303 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $325,000 in 2001.
