The three fishing piers at Ken Thompson Park will close May 1, while new piers are built.
The construction is expected to last about two months, and the new piers are scheduled to open by the end of June.
A $135,000 grant from the West Coast Inland Navigation District covers the cost of rebuilding concrete piles, decks and railings.
