Fire department launches magnet campaign

The Longboat Key Fire Rescue volunteer fire department is distributing File of Life magnets, which are meant for refrigerator doors, to island residents.

In times of emergency, firefighter paramedics can look to the refrigerator for critical information about a patient, including allergies, past medical history and a list of medications a patient is taking.
