Late-night drivers should expect to take an alternate route if passing through the University Parkway construction zone.

From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 11 through April 15, there will be a detour at the I-75 and University Parkway interchange. Drivers traveling southbound on I-75 will have to take Exit 210 rather than 213.

There are other changes drivers will notice if traveling near University Parkway and I-75.

Single lane closures are expected at night and overnight on northbound and southbound I-75, from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. April 10 through April 14.

Other lane closures will take effect at night and overnight on eastbound and westbound University Parkway from Cooper Creek Boulevard to Market Street, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. April 10 through April 15. Double lane closures begin at 10 p.m.

Drivers should also watch for changes in speed limit as part of the construction process of the Diverging Diamond Interchange.

Current projects underway for the interchange include adding an auxiliary lane on northbound and southbound I-75, constructing new bridges on  I-75 over University Parkway, widening of University Parkway, realignment of on-ramps and off-ramps at I-75 and University Parkway, addition of ponds, drainage improvements, new lighting and signalization, sidewalks, bike lanes and pedestrian walkways.

The project is still expected to be competed by fall 2017.
