Local wedding planner Nicole Kaney, of NK Productions, hosted a bridal stroll on First Street Thursday, Feb. 18, collaborating with First Street shops, as well as other local brands for a showcase of all things bridal. In the midst of wedding season, we strolled through and talked to the designers, shop owners and Kaney to get some bridal tips and other marital tidbits.

“The most popular look right now for bridal nails is blushes, peaches and nudes. French manicures are out but techniques such as ombre and cascade are in. For the maids, brides tend to stick to the same color, or having them choose different colors, but in the same color family.”

TREAT 'Wedding Day' is a popular choice among brides for wedding day nails.

“We are actually seeing a demand for blush and nude color gowns, opposed to the typical white gown. In addition, illusion necklines are very popular right now — showing more skin, but still being covered.”
– Nicole Mei, Blush Bridal co-owner
