The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested Dexter Bernard Williams, 47, who has been on the run since  September 2011. Williams is a violent career criminal who violated parole last fall.

Williams has 22 arrests that include sex offenses, kidnapping and weapons charges. He's been sentenced to prison seven times, thus classifying him a career criminal.

Deputies had a tip from someone who saw his picture this weekend on a "ten most wanted" poster at the Sarasota County Fair.

With that information, deputies were able to locate Williams this morning at home in the 2000 block of 8th Street in Sarasota, which is near Gillespie Park.
