The Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary has added a big act to its Animal Extravaganza this month.
The sanctuary will host a 30-year-old male Asian elephant, Luke, who at 13,000 pounds and about 12 feet tall is one of the largest working elephants in the country.

Luke, who was born in Florida, will be at the sanctuary through February for the organization’s tours and animal demonstrations, which begin at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, visit bigcathabitat.org.
