Elderly man missing

Manatee County authorities are looking for an elderly man who left his home Sunday afternoon.

Eighty-six-year-old Gene Berry, who has the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, left in his 2007 silver Hyundai Sonata with Florida tag number 082MAN around 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18, a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report states.

Berry's wife said he has relatives in Iowa and may be heading there to visit them.

Anyone with information about Berry's whereabouts should contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at 747-3011.
