Eat Here Sarasota reopens after small electrical fire

Eat Here Sarasota, located at 1888 Main St. is open for business following a small electrical fire outside the restaurant’s back kitchen door. Around 11 p.m. Sunday, May 19, a fire broke out near the back door enclosure area. At the time, the restaurant was closed for summer city hours. The fire damaged the water heaters and water treatment tanks and several electrical supply lines. The cause of the fire was not released.

According to the press release, Sean Murphy, owner, was in Connecticut attending his son’s graduation when the fire occurred and was relieved that no one was injured.

Eat Here opens at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday during the summer.
