Joe Plouffe and Gary Doyle (17) won the Men's Golf Association Best Ball event at Palm Aire Country Club. 

Jack Siegel, Bernard Needell, James Cobb and Randy Bennett won the Men's Golf Association Open House event (best ball) at University Park Country Club, shooting 123. 

Softball

Recent Lakewood Ranch graduate Kinsey Goelz will play in the PGF High School All-American Game on July 28 in Irvine, Calif. Goelz will play for the East team. The game can be watched on ESPNU at 10:30 p.m.
