Community and faith leaders will meet in East County tomorrow to pray for the country's leaders and take a stand for immigration reform.

The prayer vigil will be held from 2-3 p.m., Feb. 20 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Community, 12905 State Road 70 East, Bradenton.

During the event, participants will pray for wisdom and leadership in Congress and to urge state representatives to help pass immigration laws that keep families together, creates pathways to citizenship and protects the dignity of workers. The vigil is one of 100 events happening across the country this month as part of a national mobilization effort called "Together, Not Torn: Families Can’t Wait for Immigration Reform."
