Duke University’s men’s basketball team clinched the NCAA title in a 61-59 win over Butler Monday, April 5. The win is Duke’s fourth title and first in the last nine years. Senior guard Jon Scheyer, grandson of Longboat residents Stuart and Lois Scheyer, scored 15 points in the game.

“It has been a great ride for the last four years, and we have mixed emotions about having this chapter over,” said Stuart Scheyer by e-mail. “But I am sure that another chapter will start soon.”
