The Manatee County School District will offer free breakfast to students taking the FCAT April 11-21 as an outreach from its Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Because studies have shown a correlation between proper nutrition and test scores, the district will provide items such as whole grain cereals, peanut butter and jelly, yogurt, fruit and more.
Total costs for the FCAT breakfast program is $15,000.
