Lakewood Ranch Community Development District 1 board members have stamped their approval on the location of 14 dog waste stations to be placed within their district in the next month.

The board unanimously approved the locations during its meeting this morning.

After receiving a map of proposed stations during its September meeting, the board decided to table the issue until Thursday’s CDD 1 gathering due to the locations and proximity to the homes of the first round of suggestions.

Ryan Heise, director of operations for the Lakewood Ranch Inter-District Authority, presented a new map at Tuesday’s CDD 1 agenda review meeting after fielding individual suggestions from the five members throughout the course of the last month.

After members presented a few new recommendations during that meeting, the board was provided with an amended map consisting of 14 locations it approved.

CDD 1 became the third district in Lakewood Ranch to have the dog waste stations approved. Installation of the stations was recently completed in Community Development Districts 2 and 5.
