Details about Manatee superintendent interviews released

The Manatee County School District released more details about the interview process for its six superintendent finalists today.

Candidates include Pam Stewart, Diana Greene, Dr. Constance Jones, Kathryn LeRoy, Rick Mills and Dr. John Carvelli.

Each will undergo a series of interviews Feb. 11-12 at the district’s School Support Center, 215 Manatee Ave W., Bradenton.

On Feb. 11, the six candidates will participate in a round-robin cycle of interviews beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Each candidate will spend one-hour and 20 minutes in five different interviews taking questions from the Manatee County School Board, the Manatee Education Association, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the school board’s Citizens Advisory Group and other district staff.

Those sessions will conclude at 6:40 p.m. and will be followed by a public reception for the candidates from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pier 22, 1200 1st Ave. W., Bradenton.

The next day, Feb. 12, the five members of the school board will each conduct one-on-one interviews with the candidates. Those sessions are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 2:55 p.m.

All interviews are open to the public and will be recorded.
