An early morning traffic stop turned up two loaded weapons and landed two men back in jail.
Sarasota County deputies stopped a blue Chevrolet after 1 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 11, near the intersection of U.S. 301 and Northgate Boulevard for traffic violations. Deputies and discovered James Wiggs, 49, and Talvick Morton, 24, in possession of two accessible fully-loaded firearms, according to a Sarasota County Sheriff's Office news release.
Morton was on felony probation for grand theft and Wiggs has 15 prior felony convictions.
