Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies found a loaded pistol and four grams of prescription drugs in a convicted felon’s pockets during an April 10 traffic stop on Fruitville Road.

Deputies ordered Jeremiah Lee, a 31-year-old with six prior felony convictions, to keep his hands out of his pockets several times after 8 p.m. near Arthur Anderson Parkway. Lee pushed an officer and was subdued after attempting to flee the scene, according to a probable cause affadavit.

Lee was carrying a bottle of Oxycodone and a .380 caliber gun loaded with four rounds. The Sheriff’s Office charged Lee with eight felonies, including drug trafficking and possession of a concealed weapon by a convicted felon.
