Manatee County is asking for public feedback through an online survey as part of an independent evaluation of Manatee County Animal Services.

The county retained the Matrix Consulting Group to conduct an organization and staffing study of the Animal Services Division. The project will provide an evaluation of the organization, management and staffing of the Division to identify strengths and improvement opportunities.

The anonymous survey was developed by the project team to provide the community with an opportunity to have input into the study. The survey will be available through Friday, Sept. 19 and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ManateeCountyAnimalServices.

“Public involvement plays a critical role in achieving our goals of finding homes for more than 90 percent of all animals that enter the shelter,” said Bill Hutchison, who recently took over leadership at MCAS, in a news release. “We want public feedback to be a key part in how we improve our business and processes. I'm hoping people will participate in this survey and give us constructive feedback that we can build off of."
