County to light up administration building

Residents cruising on Ringling Boulevard or Orange Avenue at night will soon find it easy to pick out the Sarasota County Administration Building.

The county issued an invitation for quotes Thursday, Sept. 5, for a contractor to install four "Sarasota County" signs on the four sides of the Administration Building. The signs will be roughly three feet tall with LED lighting backing each letter, according to the solicitation.

The project is expected to cost less than $100,000, and work will be performed on the weekends after Oct. 4, when the quotes are due.
